What is Data Analytics? It is the process of gathering all the raw data and analyzing it to determine the pattern and making decisions. However, knowing just this is not enough to understand the whole concept. So, let us dive into the entire concept of Data Analytics.

  2. Diagnostic Analytics: This type focuses on why something occurred. For e.g. – Did the winter season affect ice cream sales?
  3. Predictive Analytics: This type focuses on determining what will likely happen in future. For e.g. – How will an IPL match affect the environment of Covid lockdown?
  4. Prescriptive Analytics: This type suggests a course of action. For e.g. – this summer we should take this action and sales will increase by 15%.

Undoubtedly, 3D- Printing has the potential to bring wonders to the medical world in every way. We can now print bio tissues, artificial limbs, medications, blood vessels, and the list goes on, and it is likely that we will continue to do so in the future. A group of researchers have devised a method to 3D-print living skin and blood arteries recently. Furthermore, This technique also benefits the pharmaceutical business, since 3D-printed medications were approved. 

 

5. Virtual Reality

VR is not only transforming the lives of patients but the doctors too! You may be able to see surgeries as if you were the surgeon in the future, or you may be able to go to Iceland or back home while lying in a hospital bed. Virtual Reality is being used widely to teach future surgeons as well as to practice surgeries by current surgeons. Many companies have created and delivered such software programmes, which are currently in use with promising results. Talking about patients, many women have been made to wear the virtual reality headsets while in labor and it has shown to be beneficial in pain management.  

 

6. Augmented Reality

The distinct feature about Augmented reality is that users do not lose touch with reality and it puts information into eyesight efficiently. Also it proves to be beneficial for the medical practitioners as it may assist medical students better prepare for real life surgeries while also allowing surgeons to improve their skills. Medical students can learn the subject without using real bodies by using this technology, which gives them access to comprehensive and precise, but virtual, models of the human anatomy. 

 

7. Robotic Surgery

Robotic have had the influence on medical care since long, but the technology underlying it has developed tremendously. Robotic surgery is likely the most noticeable because it is less intrusive, more accurate, less prone to infection, and heals faster than traditional surgery. Image-guided robots can now see inside brain lesions without causing any damage to the surrounding tissue. They can mold a bone to suit a prosthesis with greater precision than a person could. Also the arrival of ultrafast 5G has increased the number of robotic surgeries significantly.
